RDA Support Jnr Cricket Kit Presentation Dec '15

Lord's Taverners, Peel Cricket Board and Fairbridge sign a Memorum of Understanding

Fairbridge and Taverners Team Up

Last night we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Peel Cricket Board and Fairbridge Western Australia, witnessed by the CEO of the WACA Christine Matthews, where we have agreed to work together to give the young and disadvantaged from the Peel Region a sporting chance. This will be in the way of the Lord's Taverners Peel Branch funding Cricket kits each year and supporting the Lord's Taverners Residential Sports Development Programs run at Fairbridge Village with coaching staff support from the WACA. This MOU provides us with a foundation to grow our support for the young and disadvantaged in the Peel Region.

Jnr Taverners Raise $1,000 Towards Sports Development Program

We were very proud of the Junior Lord's Taverners last night and their Chairman Samuel Anderson spoke well in front of 50 dignitaries and Peel Cricket clubs. The Juniors had raised $1,000 towards the cricket kits to go to local Junior cricket clubs to enable less fortunate young people to have access to cricket and $1,000 toward the Lord's Taverners Residential Sports Development Program to be run at Fairbridge Village for 20 disadvantage young people from the Peel Region. Great to see our young people leading the way!

Cricket Kits Donated for Kids in Need

Last night was a great event when we were able to distribute 20 cricket kits to 13 Junior Cricket Clubs in the Peel Region and to the Peel Cricket Board to give disadvantaged kids a sporting chance. We also announced funding to the Peel Cricket Board to run a Lord's Taverners Residential Sports Development Program at Fairbridge Village to provide 20 disadvantaged young people the opportunity to attend a camp to increase their cricket skills through the support of WACA coaching staff.
